VETERINARY SURGEONS REGISTRATION ORDINANCE (Chapter 529)
The purpose of publishing this list of registered veterinary surgeons is to inform the public that each person named in the list is entitled to practise veterinary surgery and provide veterinary services in Hong Kong under the Veterinary Surgeons Registration Ordinance (Cap. 529), and/or enable the public to ascertain their qualifications in veterinary surgery and/or practising address(es). The personal data in this list should be used only for the purposes of ascertaining whether a person is a registered veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong who is entitled to practise here, his qualifications in veterinary surgery and/or practising address(es) (the “Specified Purposes”) or a purpose directly related to the Specified Purposes. The following persons are registered veterinary surgeons with valid practising certificates as at the date printed at the bottom of the page.
The Voluntary Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Scheme ended on 31 December 2023 and the Mandatory CPD Scheme ((https://vsbhk.org.hk/english/cpd/cpd.html) has been implemented since October 2023. Please note that no CPD certificates will be issued under the Mandatory CPD Scheme.
Registered veterinary surgeons who have been awarded CPD certificates under the Voluntary CPD Scheme may no longer publicise their CPD attainment of participation in CPD activities after 31 December 2025.
With effect from 1 January 2026, no business cards of registered veterinary surgeons shall bear any statement concerning CPD certification (including those for previous reporting periods); and expired CPD certificates must not be displayed at registered veterinary surgeons’ practices.
Differentiation between Veterinary Surgeons in General Practice and Veterinary Specialists
