VETERINARY SURGEONS REGISTRATION ORDINANCE (Chapter 529)
The purpose of publishing this list of registered veterinary surgeons is to inform the public that each person named in the list is entitled to practise veterinary surgery and provide veterinary services in Hong Kong under the Veterinary Surgeons Registration Ordinance (Cap. 529), and/or enable the public to ascertain their qualifications in veterinary surgery, latest Continuing Professional Development certified period (if any) and/or practising address(es). The personal data in this list should be used only for the purposes of ascertaining whether a person is a registered veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong who is entitled to practise here, his qualifications in veterinary surgery, latest Continuing Professional Development certified period (if any) and/or practising address(es) (the “Specified Purposes”) or a purpose directly related to the Specified Purposes. The following persons are registered veterinary surgeons with valid practising certificates as at the date printed at the bottom of the page.
Since 2008, practising veterinary surgeons are encouraged to complete at least 40 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit points over two years, the participation of which is on a voluntary basis. Veterinary surgeons who have fulfilled the CPD requirements of the Board are each awarded a CPD Certificate which can be displayed inside their practices, and allowed to include in their visiting cards the title "CPD-certified (dd/mm/yy – dd/mm/yy)". The latest "CPD Certified Period" of the veterinary surgeon concerned is indicated in the last column of the list below.
WARNING: Persons using the personal data in this list for a purpose that is not one of the Specified Purposes or a purpose directly related to the Specified Purposes may render themselves liable to prosecution and/or incur civil liability under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
